Agronomy Seed Sales and Traits Manager | Central Prairie Co-op

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Primary duties include seed sales, consulting customers on seed products, and working with our sales agronomists on seed placement. Other duties include overseeing the cleaning of seed wheat, treating soybeans and wheat, and delivering product to the farms. Responsibilities also include overseeing the maintenance of all facilities, equipment, and inventory, and supervision of two employees. Customer service is of the upmost importance for this position. Central Prairie Co-op operates under a team philosophy when it comes to completing tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Basic knowledge of seed and agronomy is important, but we are willing to train the right individual.
  • Self-motivated, problem solving skills and able to work under pressure
  • Class A CDL driver’s license required (or ability to obtain)
  • Category 4 applicator license required (or ability to attain).
  • Requires basic computer operation skills. 
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to prioritize.  Be self-motivated and have strong independent work habits.  Be trustworthy, honest, respectful of others, and flexible.  Demonstrate sound work ethics.
