Golden Valley, Inc. is a farmer owned grain and supply Cooperative made up of three locations in Sanford, Burdett, and our main office in Rozel. Our full-service Crop Production Department in Sanford provides a full range of agronomy services including custom application of dry and liquid fertilizer and chemicals, soil testing, wholesale and retail sales of fertilizer and chemicals, custom fertilizer blending, precision ag with variable rate fertilizer capabilities, and NH3 outlets at Burdett and Sanford.

Job Responsibilities:

• Communicate with growers promoting the Cooperative and making sales calls.
• Cultivate and create relationships with new and existing customers to maintain and grow the business
• Provide agronomic services in the forms of field scouting, tissue samples, and soil sampling
• Make sound fertilizer and chemical recommendations to producers
• Use precision ag in the form of making and writing Rx for variable rate fertilizer applications
• Schedule and dispatch liquid operations
• Must be willing to work as a team with other crop production and co-op staff to complete tasks

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Agronomy from four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
• Certified Crop Advisor Certification or ability to obtain one within two years
• Strong communication skills across multiple forms of media
• Problem solving capabilities
• Be self-motivated and be willing to work independently 
• The ability to use and learn different computer programs
