Human Resources Manager | Pride Ag Resources

Pride Ag Resources is hiring for a Human Resources Manager based out of their Dodge City, KS location.  This position is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resource function.

Essential functions of this position include:

  • Implements and annually updates the compensation program; rewrites job descriptions as necessary; conducts annual salary surveys and analyzes compensation; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
  • Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures.
  • Administration of all company benefits plans to include claims resolutions, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, annual re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness, and employee education.
  • Files and monitors all workers’ compensation claims.
  • Provides support and guidance to management and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
  • Process bi-weekly payrolls and submits 401K and Co-op retirement plan contributions.
  • Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 annually; maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Responsible for talent acquisition to include: Advertising job openings, interviewing candidates, conducting reference checks, extending job offers and conducting new hire orientations.
  • Ensures compliance with all record retention guidelines.
  • Evaluates reports, decisions and results of department initiatives in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Coordinates company sponsored employee events.
  • Compiles calendar year and fiscal year end reports for audit process.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to drive company vehicle to visit company locations

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of human resource management experience preferred.
  • SHRM or PHR designation a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, conflict resolution, detail orientation, analytical prioritization, delegation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
  • Proficiency with, or the ability to quickly learn, the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
