Agency Intern - Hutchinson Office

A Day in the Life:

As an Agency Intern you will develop a working knowledge of the agency and provide administrative support to a variety of departments within the organization.   This job will work on a rotation, learning new and different facet of insurance work and other business functions within the agency from sales to operations and with our other service areas.

During the summer this position may work up to 40 hours per week.  During the school year, it will work approximately 5 – 10 hours per week.  This position will report in our Hutchinson, Kansas office.

The Agency Intern position reports to the Vice-President of Corporate and Professional Services.  They will also be paired with appropriate mentors during their internship for projects.

What You will Need to Do This Job:

You must be a high school junior or senior OR a college undergraduate student working towards a Bachelors’ degree in one of the preferred majors such as sales, agriculture business or business.

An entrepreneurial spirit and drive to succeed.

Detail oriented.

Persistence and creativity in problem solving; solid analytical skills.

Ability to use and understanding technology including a computer, smart phone, tablet and various software programs and apps.

A valid driver’s license.

This position generally works in an office environment but is occasionally exposed to outdoor

conditions or other locations.  Long periods of sitting, standing and computer work are required. 

The ability to speak, hear, and type is also required.  You will regularly lift 20 pounds or less.

This position will also be required to perform other duties as assigned by management.
