The Pawnee County Cooperative Association is searching for a General Manager. They are headquartered in Larned, Kansas, and are a successful multi-location Cooperative proudly operating since 1905. The Cooperative provides services in grain, fuel, and agronomy. Locations include Larned, Garfield, Dartmouth, and Macksville, Kansas. Total grain storage capacity is nearly 7 million bushels. Candidates are expected to have a strong knowledge of agriculture operations, especially in grain and agronomy. In addition, they must be excellent people managers with the capability to build strong working relationships with employees, patrons, and the board of directors. Additional qualifications include a desire to create a customer-centered operation that provides outstanding products and services. The board of directors is seeking a candidate that is action oriented with a desire to get out and build the customer-base while promoting the benefits of Cooperative membership. Successful candidates must also have a working knowledge of financial management, basic accounting principles, and general business operations. Prior experience working in a Cooperative is preferred. Strong business acumen is required.
