Location Manager | Two Rivers Coop

Two Rivers Consumers Cooperative Association is searching for a Location Manager for their Udall, KS location. This position is responsible for the management of the location to ensure maximum service to members and patrons.  Two Rivers Coop offers a competitive compensation and full benefits package.

Position Responsibilities:

• Prioritizes the level of service provided to our customers.
• Understands and promotes the benefits of a Cooperative.
• Collaborates across departments and locations.
• Manages and is responsible for the operation of sales and services at the branch location.
• Supervises the purchasing, unloading, storage, inventory, delivery and shipment of all feed, grain, chemical and fertilizer at the branch location.
• Informs the General Manager of inventory levels in grain, fertilizer, and chemicals recommending levels necessary to satisfy customer needs.
• Provide agronomic expertise to customers including but not limited to: troubleshooting weeds and recommending the proper control method, performing yield checks and maintaining test plots, keeping up to date on all new technology and safety regulations and a knowledge of soil fertility and fertilizer recommendations; Assists in scheduling of fertilizer application.
• Supervises the preparation of operator field reports and maintains customer history files.
• Responsible for inventory for the assigned location, including grain while also assisting with annual inventories.
• Responsible for receiving, storage and the physical condition of all grains at the location; supervises the reading of the hot spot detector and log grain temperatures weekly; fumigate grain at the branch as required in order to maintain satisfactory grain condition.
• Responsible for scheduling of seed cleaning operation.
• Ensure repairs and maintenance are approved and completed in a timely fashion.
• Responsible for the timely service and maintenance of location vehicles and rolling stock to assure field fitness in order to maximize operating time
• This position is a working manager which means they must be able to perform management functions as well as perform routine duties of the location employees.
• Ensure proper housekeeping of facility, safety compliance with Cooperative, insurance company and government regulatory agency requirements.
• Act as emergency coordinator in case of accident or disaster at your location, in accordance with company guidelines.
• Must be aware of safety procedures and OSHA requirements; develop procedures within these guidelines that apply to the location operations; this position is responsible for ensuring these safety regulations are followed and provide safety equipment that meets or exceeds industry requirements.
• Supervises all location employees, including part-time and seasonal help, assigned to location and ensures that they follow safety rules for the protection of themselves and patrons.
• Prepares daily work report, cash report, deposits cash locally and is responsible for the timely delivery of reports to the general office.
• Assists in the preparation of budgets for department and reviews the operating statement quarterly with the General Manager.
• Reviews and adheres to customer credit list.
• Attend all meetings, schools and work related seminars as required by the General Manager.
• Understand and comply with all state and federal regulations
• Employee is required to perform all other duties as directed by the General Manager.

Position Requirements and Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Driver's License with clean driving record required; ability to obtain State Pesticide 7B License.
• This positon is frequenly exposed to outdoor weather conditions, chemicals, grain dust and loud noises.  Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occassionally lift up to 100 pounds.
• Demonstrating knowledge of industry practices, processes, and terminology.
• Strong organizational and communications skills (both verbal and written) are required.
